Our Son David was 56 years old when he passed away on 10/19/2024 at 11:38 pm. He went under Trellis Care on 10/04/2024 after coming home from Hospital after finding out he had a mass on Cerebellum. He went into hospital because of speech and balance issues. After running tests, the doctors found he not only had liver disease, but had a mass, which was causing his balance and speech issues. The Team of doctors found there was nothing else they could do for him, so he was sent home.
David was diagnosed with liver disease in 2020 and had done good until 2024. He fell and broke his leg earlier in the year, and from that point did not do well. He passed away peacefully with his Mom & Dad by his bedside. Earlier in the day after being very still David opened his eyes and looked straight up toward the sky. He stared for a few moments, and then the most beautiful smile came on his face. Such peace around him and was felt in the room. I later found a note from him. Not sure when it was written that said he wanted to see Jesus. We felt he got a glimpse of Heaven. David loved God, and he loved his family. Never missing a chance to tell us he loved us. He was very gifted in cooking and writing poetry. He was gifted in sports, and played baseball as a young man, and always made the Allstar Team. He loved football and was Quarterback when playing for Tiny Greyhound’s. In High School he was on wrestling team and won most of his matches. Also, in Junior year his Coach found out David was a good Pole Vaulter. The school bought his first pole and went on to the State finals.
We miss our Son so much but hold on to the hope based on God’s word that we will see him again.
