Bill's contagious laugh, sense of humor, and kindness will be deeply missed. He served two years in the U.S. Army as the Korean War came to an end. In 1971, he became the owner of Winston-Salem Casket Company, which supplied caskets to funeral homes throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Virginia. Through his travels and storytelling, he made many friends in the funeral industry. Bill treasured time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
